Armenian Akhtamar Church in Lake Van a Gross Turkish Fool Hardy Blunder






With hundred thousand demonstrators in NYC roaming the streets and cursing Islam and muslims protesting the building of Islamic culture center that will look from outside like any other business Turkey give the Armenian a gift a church that will re-enforce the Armenian's claim to all eastern Turkey.

Turkey committed a blunder and only the future will see whether they will fall into more blunders.
If the Turks thinks that the Armenians will love them for this church they will not but will seek more and more lands in the Van area.

The initiative to open the church for a one-day service came from the Van Governor’s Office, and approval came from the Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay. It is the first time since the Armenian Genocide that the church is being opened for a worship service.
