Murfreesboro: anti-mosque campaign lawyer suggests ‘flag of Shariah’ may already be flying over White House

MURFREESBORO, Tenn  The imam and worshipers at a new Tennessee mosque that hosted its first prayers on Friday after fighting for two years to open said they forgive those who have been enemies of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.

A federal judge has ordered officials in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to allow Muslims to worship in their new mosque for Ramadan. The Islamic holy month begins Thursday.
Earlier this month, a local judge ordered the county to withhold an occupancy permit for the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, a 12,000-square foot building.

Mosque officials and federal prosecutors then filed suits in federal court, citing violations of federal law and the constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion and equal protection.
U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell issued an emergency order allowing the Muslims to use their building.
Murfreesboro residents have fought the mosque for two years. They say local Muslims favor Islamic law over the Constitution.
